Account and progress data

CareerPathwize uses Supabase to provide secure account sign up, sign in and cross-device progress syncing for signed-in users. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth and are not stored by CareerPathwize in plain text.

When a user is signed in, pathway progress, certificate status and uploaded PDF certificates can be saved to the user’s private CareerPathwize account. Uploaded certificate files are stored privately and are intended to be visible only to the signed-in user who uploaded them.

Signed-in account storage is the main source of truth for progress. Older progress found in a browser may be offered for import after sign-in, but learners should use an account if they want progress to remain available across devices.

Analytics and contact messages

CareerPathwize uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for simple, privacy-conscious website measurement. This may include page views, visits, referrers, device type, approximate country or region and basic performance signals such as Core Web Vitals.

CareerPathwize also uses Google Analytics 4 for broad product events such as opening a career field, starting a pathway, opening a certificate link, signing in, requesting a password reset, using search, uploading a certificate or completing a pathway. Error and form events are recorded as general status categories only. Advertising storage and ad personalisation are disabled for this setup. These events are used to understand which parts of the website are useful and where learners may drop off.

When users submit the contact form, CareerPathwize stores the name, email address, subject and message so administrators can review and respond to the enquiry. If email notifications are configured, the same message details can also be sent to the CareerPathwize team inbox for faster follow-up.

Information CareerPathwize avoids collecting

CareerPathwize does not use these analytics events to collect certificate files, uploaded file names, passwords, ages, income, detailed demographics or unnecessary personal information.
